In 1997, a small group of believers and friends gathered at The Hitchin' Post trailer sales in Lake George, Colorado for a pot luck dinner and a desire to find some kind of spiritual support. At first the gatherings were monthly, but before long we were meeting weekly in the service bay area of The Hitchin' Post for worship services.

By 1999, under the leadership of pastors Lawrence Jantz, Merv Johnson, and Judy Downing, the gathering had been transformed into a small congregation meeting weekly at the Grange Hall just down the road in Florissant, Colorado.

In 2000, Hurshel Hendrix was asked to serve our congregation as preaching pastor with Lawrence Jantz serving as visitation pastor. Over the next four years the church continued to prosper, seeking to follow God's leadership in worship and to reach out to the local community. A vision was born to build our own church building that could serve as a base of ministry for the Lord's service in both Teller and Park Counties.

In 2004, the church family, working together, completed our main building, and a wonderful dedication service was held on June 19, 2005. A few years later, we added some property next door which, as The Annex, serves as the location for our informal gatherings.

In 2011, Dieter Rademacher was called to be our full-time pastor, and he has continued to provide the Bible-based teaching and welcoming, friendly atmosphere for which we are known.

Over the past 20-plus years God has greatly blessed the efforts of our congregation. We believe that we have been raised up to serve Him and His people in our part of the Rocky Mountains. We continue to explore ways that we can work for the glory of God as we reach out to the men, women, and children of this beautiful part of God's creation! We look forward to what He will do in the future!

Soli Deo Gloria
